TMB's KCVDS Help Thread

So many people have had problems with KCVDS. I have too, but i've found solutions for most of them. So if you have any problems with KCVDS notify me in this thread, and -hopefully- i can answer your questions.

Troubleshooting. In KCVDS.
"Invalid Username of Password" - this means just as it says. You didn't type something in right. Not a problem with KCVDS. Just one with your fingers.

"Database Error-Please Check Connection or Server - This means there is a server error, or an error with your internet. If your internet is fully functional and you are reading this right now, then the KCVDS server is most likely down. Ask other people to confirm. If other people's KCVDS is working fine, then, your name may have been deleted off the server or certain parts of the server might not be functioning right.

Opening KCVDS.
"Component "XXXXXXXX.XXX"or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid." - If this happens PM me. This is a system error that needs to be dealt with carefully through the use of CMD.EXE. Very specific things to do. PM me.

These are just some common problems. There are other problems and such, but, most people don't have those so they're not needed in the Troubleshooting section. Hope i can help.

Okay. But, what you mentioned as far as fixing it goes is not all that's required in some situations. Just like to point that out. More complex in-depth help is needed, via command prompt and regsvr32.exe. It's complicated.

Yeah. No. 55s solution will fix some cases of this problem, but not all.
