Critical Doubt

In a duel I was playing, I Sacrificed Black Wing Blizzard to put Black Wing Sirocco On the field and the magic card Black Wirlwind was activated Since the first Turn and this card has the eff of allow me to draw a Black Wing monster to my hand, from the deck, with less atk than the black wing one that I Normal summoned or, in this case, tribute summoned.

My doubt its this: When i did that My opponent used Bottomless Trap Hole andwhen i Drawed the monster from the deck, my opponent said That i was a noob because Bottomless didnt Allow me to use Wirlwind`s eff.

Is this True or not?

this isnt true imo,

cause Sirocco was on the field ( so he is normal summoned ) causing you to use the effect of Whirlwind as normal only you lose Sirocco but you may search your deck for a BW with less ATK imo ....

Yes, whirlwinds effect wouldnt work only if the summoning would be negated with solemn, forced back etc, but bottomles doesnt negate summoning so Whirlwind works definately.

All of you are wrong.

Sirocco needs to be on the field when Black Whirlwind's effect resolves.

If it's not, and is removed by CED / BTH, then you do NOT get Black Whirlwind's effect.
