Synchro Draw Engine
In this article I will be talking about the Synchro draw engine
First of all what is a Synchro draw engine?
With a Synchro draw engine I mean that you gain hand Advantech by doing synchro summons.
Random guy: wait a sec don’t you get a -1 with a synchro summon cuz you trade 2 cards (or more) for 1?
Me: under normal circumstances that is indeed the case but there is a way to gain hand card Advantech but it requires one of 2 special cards
And here they are
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
If this card is used for a Synchro Summon and sent to the Graveyard, the owner of this card draws 1 card.
And
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
If this card is used for a Synchro Summon, you can treat it as a Level 2 monster. If this card is sent to the Graveyard for a Synchro Summon, draw 1 card.
Now since tuningware isn’t on kcvds yet we will mainly be talking about Darksea Rescue
Darksea Rescue also has a advantages compared to tuningware and it is that it is a DARK monster.
Why Is this a advantage?
Because dark monsters can be dropt into the graveyard easy (Armageddon Knight).
Why do we want our monster in the graveyard?
Because for our draw engine to work we first need to get our Darksea Rescue + a tuner on the field and one of the easiest ways of doing so is getting Darksea Rescue in the graveyard and than summoning it with one of the 2 following cards.
Junk synchro: When this card is Normal Summoned, you can Special Summon 1 Level 2 or lower monster from your Graveyard in face-up Defense Position. That monster's effect(s) is negated.
Debris Dragon: When this card is Normal Summoned, you can Special Summon 1 monster with 500 or less ATK from your Graveyard in Attack Position. That monster's effect(s) is negated. This card cannot be used as a Synchro Material Monster, except for the Synchro Summon of a Dragon-Type Synchro Monster. The other Synchro Material Monster(s) cannot be Level 4.
Ok but for our draw engine to be as effective as possible we should throw in more than just 1 Darksea Rescue in our synchro summon so we draw more than just 1 card
Now to do this we also have 2 cards
Inferno Reckless Summon: You can only activate this card when 1 monster with an ATK of 1500 points or less is Special Summoned to your side of the field while there is a face-up monster on your opponent's side of the field. Special Summon all cards with the same name as the Summoned monster from your hand, Deck, and Graveyard in face-up Attack Position. Your opponent selects 1 monster on their side of the field and Special Summons all cards with that same name from their hand, Deck, and Graveyard.
The only downside with this card is that it needs your opponent to have a monster on the field as well.
Machine Duplication: Select 1 Machine-Type monster with 500 or less ATK on your side of the field. You can Special Summon up to 2 cards with the same name from your Deck.
Now since this can only summon cards from the deck running 3 copy’s will be dangerous so be carful with that.
Ok now we have a general idée how this stratigy works so now to give you a deck build as a example
Monsters: 23
3 X Darksea Rescue
3 X Debris Dragon
3 X Quickdraw Synchron
3 X Junk Synchron
3 X Armageddon Knight
3 X Turbo Rocket
2 X Treeborn Frog
2 X Dark Simorgh
Spells: 13
1 X One for One
2 X machine Duplication
3 X Inferno Reckless Summon
1 X Foolish Burial
1 X brain control
1 X mind control
1 X heavy storm
1 X MST
2 X De-Synchro
Traps: 4
1 X mirror Force
1 X torrential Tribute
2 X threatening roare
extra deck:
1 X Drill Warrior
1 X Nitro Warrior
1 X Road warrior
1 X Blackrose dragon
1 X brionac
1 X catastor
1 X goyo
2 X Iron chain dragon
1 X Red Dragon archfiend
1 X Stardust Dragon
2 X Turbo Cannon
1 X Armory Arm
1 X Mist Wurm
Now I will explain the used of all of these cards:
Darksea Rescue: most of the deck is build around this card so obviously we add him
Debris Dragon + Junk Synchron: explained above.
Armageddon Knight: he is here to help get Darksea Rescue in the graveyard so that Junk Synchron + Debris Dragon can get him on the field
Quickdraw Synchron: his effect isn’t so well know so I will copy/past if from yugioh wiki
Quckdraw Synchron: You can send 1 monster from your hand to the Graveyard and Special Summon this card from your hand. You can substitute this card for any 1 "Synchron" Tuner for a Synchro Summon. This card cannot be used as a Synchro Material Monster, except for the Synchro Summon of a monster that lists a "Synchron" monster as a Tuner monster.
This card is here if you don’t draw debris or junk or if you draw Darksea Rescue and you want to get him into the graveyard and he also unlocks some interesting synchro monsters:
Drill Warrior: "Drill Synchron" + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters.
Once per turn, during your Main Phase, you can halve this card's ATK (permanently). If you do, it can attack your opponent directly this turn. Once per turn, during your Main Phase, you can discard 1 card and remove this card from play. During your next Standby Phase, Special Summon this card, if removed by this effect. Then, add 1 Monster Card from your Graveyard to your hand.
This card we will summon with Quickdraw Synchron + 1 Darksea Rescue (or [color=orange]treeborn frog[color]). His effect is actually really amazing since it will able you to reuse Debris Dragon + Junk synchron from your graveyard and get rid of possible death draws.
Not only that but since it will take cover in the removed from play zone during your opponents turn it will be very hard for your opponent to get rid of him. His ability to atk directly is nice bonus
Note: you must half his atk in your main phase meaning that if you are already in the battle phace it is to late to say you want to atk directly.
Nitro Warrior: "Nitro Synchron" + 1 or more non-Tuner Monsters
Once during each of your turns, if you activated a Spell Card(s), this card gains 1000 ATK during its next attack, for damage calculation only. Once per turn, if this attacking card destroys an opponent's Monster by battle, you can change 1 face-up Defense Position monster your opponent controls to Attack Position, and attack it with this card.
He is here cuz we want a lv 7 synchro monster for Quickdraw Synchron.
Road Warrior: "Road Synchron" + 2 or more non-Tuner Monsters.
Once per turn, you can Special Summon 1 Level 2 or lower Warrior or Machine-Type monster from your Deck.
We will summon him by using Quickdraw Synchron + 3 Darksea Rescue
he simply is a great beatstick and it can summon a Turbo Rocket from your deck.
Note: call priority on Road Warriors effect to summon a Turbo Rocket
Kay enough about this Quickdraw Synchron moving on :p
Treeborn frog: a card to discard for One for One/ Quickdraw Synchron and to help get turbo cannon out or just a extra monster to throw into the synchro summon.
Turbo Rocket: he is here so we can summon something with Road warrior and to synchro with treeborn frog or Darksea Rescue for Turbo Cannon.
Note: If you have treeborn frog on the field and Turbo Rocket in your graveyard and a Junk synchron or Debris dragon than you can use Junk or debris to summon turbo rocket and than synchro with turbo rocket and treeborn for turbo cannon, use his effect and that synchro further with Turbo cannon and debris or junk.
Dark Simorgh: he is here because we have 9 dark monsters and 9 wind monsters.
One for One: it helps to get Darksea Rescue in the game.
machine Duplication: combo with Darksea Rescue + can also be used with Turbo Rocket.
Inferno Reckless Summon: combo with Darksea Rescue
Foolish Burial: helps to get treeborn frog + Darksea Rescue in the graveyard
brain control + mind control: we are running 12 tuners, no further explanation needed.
heavy storm + MST: the usual spell + trap destruction.
De-Synchro: Select 1 face-up Synchro Monster. Return it to its owner's Extra Deck. Then, if all the monsters that were used for the Synchro Summon of that monster are in your Graveyard, you can Special Summon them.
this card is situational but you can do many tricks with it:
Use it to De-synchro a Turbo cannon and than summoning it again and so using its effect 2 times.
Use it on any synchro monster that has had Darksea Rescue’s in his summon (the more the more effective) and than summoning it again and draw the cards from Darksea Rescue’s once gain. This can result in a +2 at best.
Use it on a opponent monster.
Note: summoning the synchro material monsters is optional so you can just send your opponent synchro monster to his extra deck w/o summoning the matirial monsters to his field again.
mirror Force + torrential Tribute: I don’t think these cards need explanation.
threatening roar: anti OTK (happens a lot these days) and helps you to keep a Darksea Rescue on the field long enough to synchro with turbo cannon or any other tuner or synchro monster.
This deck has become one of my favorite decks feel free to test it out for yourself or to make something ells with the syncrho draw engine.
be carfull tho since this deck is easy to kill with a side deck (royal opprsion or grave removel)
This was a long article so I hope you didn’t got bored along the way.
