This is the first time I host a tournament, hope you'll enjoy it

Tournament Rules:
1. The deadline for registration is 13th June, around 20.00 GMT +7
2. Everyone will be accepted provided they are from Obelisk Blue Dorm and there are enough spaces left
3. The tournament will be participated by 8 or 16 participants, anyone else will be subbed if there is more
4. If you cannot finish a round, please contact me about it

Deck Rules:
1. Decks must abide March 2010 Banlist
2. No decks banned
3. No deck changing
4. Siding is allowed

Match Rules:
1. The duel will be done in best 2 out of 3
2. The loser of the duel will decide whether he will go 1st or 2nd in the next duel

Format:
This will be done in a good ol' elimination tournament, but there is a catch. There is no pre-defined matchup. You can choose anyone you want in each round and he/she will be your opponent for that round. After the match is over, you'll post the result in this thread and if you win, wait for the next round to start. If you lose, you'll be eliminated from the tournament. Just one thing that's important, once you have dueled with someone and is not complete yet but you have to go, you have to finish the duel with the very same person later on.

FAQ

1 lose = Out of the tourney?

Yupz, you got that right.

Can someone turn down a challenge? Obviously if they're busy or something can they postpone it, but if I tell someone who doesn't have an opponent yet, "I choose you as my opponent for this round of the tourney," are they allowed to decline and pick someone else to duel?

Yes, you can refuse or postpone the duel if it's because you are busy or something. But you should duel fast because the more time you delay your duel, your choice of opponents become narrowed, and it's harder to find an opponent.

Now, the round 1 of Obelisk Battlefield has begun! As the rule has specified, this is treated as the usual elimination tournament. But you can choose your opponent freely! After you've done the match, post the result in this thread and I'll update this round's match record.

1 card stopped me from winning and he just happened to have Bribe ready for when i topdecked what i needed lol

Won 2-1 against svstar34. 1 card won me the game(s).

Game 1: He sets 3 backrow and pass. I summon and attack. He flips triple Reckless and proceed to drop Gorz. I scoop

Game 2 & 3: I get the cards in place, and it was not that difficult anymore. Thoguh he had Heavy/Trunade all the time ^^

Maybe you can try with Duelist first? One of the point of this tournament is having opponent flexibility after all

It was me. And today can't go with him. tomorrow is beginning of the week for us. Saturday. and I have Science final test. we can continue that tomorrow.

I tried to reach duelist. But he's barely on ham.

Yeah, I have to admit that's my fault; the last 2 days I've barely been on ham or done any KCVDS related stuff. I'm going to try to be on for as much as possible today and hopefully tomorrow, but since this tourney is taking forever I wouldn't mind if I'm DQ'ed so that it can move on.

Since this tourney is taking forever (mostly my fault), I decide to continue on to round 2 with some people DQ-ed. Shjavo and Goonmoonryong will pass for sure but for the other 2 positions, I'll Ryo Bakura and Duelist fill in those because of inactivity from both Ichigo and I. So here we go:

When is the deadline, because this round started more than 8 days ago and only 2 duels had to be done, yet only 1 has been completed.
