OTK Powerplay Tournament

Imma start a small little tourny to get ppl out here dueling! As you can tell this tourny will be for OTK decks. This tourny should go by fast, because the only way to win is to OTK. So if you're bad at OTK'ing or are bad at making OTK decks then dont join. Here are the rules:

RULES
1. No FTK
2. You can use any type of OTK, there is no Banned Decks or cards.
3. You can use as many banned cards KCVDS will let you. So that means if someone wanted too they can use Ring of Destruction Barrel Behind the Door OTK.
4. These will be 2/3 matches
5. If you win post your when with a screen shot.
6. Only deck you can use are OTK decks.
7. You Do not have to win by OTK, but this is an OTK tourny so OTK should be what you deck goal.

why would you do that anyways [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] , the point is to OTK your opponet. if all you do is wait till they OTK and try to mess it up , is dumb and boring. and plus i doubt that any good duelist would let you set your field up to do that.

It isn't necessary to have to set up your field, Necro Gardna/Gorz/Heralds/ect can do the job.

Threatening Roar and a couple of other traps basically secure your win in this tourny.

Well, if you have a bunch of monsters on the field, and your opponent has Threatening roar face-down, and you attack, you clearly lose, but if you summoned a Beast King Barbaros, or Judgment Dragon, and clear the field, then you don't lose if your opponent chains Threatening roar, because clearly it was your intention to clear the field, not to OTK. Not OTK doesn't mean not destroying your opponent's cards.

It is harder to kill yourself than it seems, if you are careful and don't attack ATK position monsters. The intention for OTK has to be clear, and few will attempt an OTK if the opponent has face-downs. I personally think this will be a very interesting variant of Yugioh, though deck-building for the first duel without any experience will be very, very interesting. I expect the second and third round to be high quality, though.

Indeed, ArcanaForce0 has a good point; Necro Gardna is a scary strong card in this duel. If you can get it to the grave somehow (LS, cough cough) OTK's become extremely difficult, as you need at least 9600 in attack power with 5 monsters, 10000 with 4 monsters, 12000 with 3 monsters, and 16000 with 2 monsters. Reduce the number of monsters by one if you have 2 necro gardnas in the grave, and remember these are absolute minimums and it will probably be more in real game. This may motivate some burn decks. On the other hand, burn decks can't get necro gardna in the grave (well, maybe, but not very easily)!

Oh come on people! You ruined the tourney! Ugh...oh well. Now decks can't afford to be as OTK-ish...there is a huge difference between a deck that wins by OTK most of the time and a deck that must win by OTK or preventing the opponent's OTK. This should increase the quality of the decks (especially with 3 banned cards), but it isn't the variant of the game Staxx created earlier at all, which I have tried out with someone and it works and is very interesting, since it is a race to be able to set up the OTK, and there are workarounds around all the concerns people have posted. Now people will use good yugioh decks that happen to usually win by OTK, but don't have to. It should just be regular yugioh now...I hope that is what the protesters wanted.

Also, people...sign up if you want to play! We need more people for the tourney. The arguments have been settled...don't worry about that. It should just be some fun dueling if more people sign up. So join if you have time!
