hey i need help with grafic effects and stuff on gimp and also finding paint brushes
and other backgrounds it would be awesome if u guys helped thx. (I'm a beginer by the way). = )

why use gimp use photoshop its alot easyer than gimp and more ppl use it

Gimp? Aren't he useing Photoshop ??? :S Use Photoshop and search tutorials. You can write to google about "Photoshop Beginner Signature Tutorials" It'll help you. Smile

if he wants to use Gimp let him. i use gimp.

the choice of using Gimp or PS, is like picking
X-Box or Playstation
KCVDS or YVD
Coke or Pepsi

its all about personal preference.

Of course. But if he wants us some helps, we can't help it while he is using Gimp. If you can help it, I'm glad for him. Smile

Photoshop is not a lot easier than Gimp, it's a more advanced. Professionals use PS and Gimp is good for learning. I never used Gimp before but I've heard from people who use it frequently that it can be better than PS at times. I don't really believe that, but like Staxx said, it's preference. If you don't want to learn the complications of PS, stick with Gimp. However, it is advised that you move away from Gimp to PS once you become a Novice. There's a limited amount of things you can do on Gimp and majority of GFX artists use PS for it's versatility.
