PS vs Gimp

i'm sick of ppl saying that PS is better than gimp!

IMO they are both the same. gimp is just more confusing. once someone gets pro at gimp they can sigs that look like they were done on PS.

ya i would say nearly same but PS has many functions gimp doesnt have so that makes PS better :/

but the thing is that with gimp it may be harder with less functions but when most things that come out gimp look great! so yea they are basicly the same

If gimp is hard and the photoshop is easy and either way it will look like it came out as a PS sig why not use photoshop in the first place so PS ftw

Yay A Gimper! Yes I Have both PS And Gimp On My Comp. I Use PS For Making An Image's Quality Better But I Use Gimp to Make Sigs, Avatars, Tags, Etc. I Have Used PS to make a Sig BEfore and I Honestly didn't enjoy it as much as Gimp :/ So Gimp Ftw.

But really gimp has more things than ps but you just have to figure out how to use them. When i go to the filters menu, it drops down to the bottom of the screen. And each thing in that menu has a menu that has at least 8 things in it. You just gotta know what they do.

Gimp looks good too. But Gimp's resources are not easy to find them. PS resources is more prevalent.

I tried both, and PS is way better...

ps takes the win btw way staxx ps is free 2 at least for me and sum of yall since i posted a link for it
ps better ps has alot of plugins that can be download if u find it for free as well

gimp is free, um and its easy to do animations in there

has psd tuts um alot more resources um alot easyer to use and blah blah blah XD

well i'm a gimp and photoshop user and imo Gimp for a number of reasons it doesnt have alot of useless apps its not annoying to add text and its easier yusei Gimp is FREE where :sucks: photoshop isnt and the link you posted was illegal so there, and with gimp you can open psd files where as photoshop you cant open xdf files so gimp ftw!

oh yeah crona i forgot about that.

you can open photoshop files and install some photoshop plugins on GIMP, but you can do the reverse on PS. so if you really deeply think about it, Gimp is better.

and as far as a war, well i'm cool with it as long as its 4 users for each program.

I think that we should have three judges that aren't gfx'ers. So we don't have a biased vote.

yeah and they won't know whos sig is whos so it will be fair and i will be the only one to know so that means i might not enter

not really much to say for a pro PS user, PS is deffenitly the best .. end of story
