Fabed Raven vs. Solemn Warning

I already know the ruling of this, but I need someone to post to help clarify this for someone... Solemn warning can negate 2 things. 1) Summon of a monster OR 2) Effect that involves Summoning a monster.

Fabled Raven
Once per turn, you can discard any number of cards from your hand and increase the Level of this card by the number of discarded cards, until the End Phase. This card also gains ATK equal to the number of discarded cards x 400, until the End Phase.

Solemn Warning
Pay 2000 Life Points. Negate the Summon of a monster OR the activation of a Spell Card, Trap Card, or Effect Monster's effect that would Special Summon a monster(s), and destroy that card.

I was discarding Goldd

And in case it helps some, Raven's eff wasn't priority, so it wasn't at Raven's summon.

So whats the question now, lol?

If you activate Raven eff, then he can chain Warning and negate Raven effect and destroy it. Thought Goldd wont be discarded because its not a cost.

Maybe I should specify what I meant. Solemn Warning can negate effs that involve Special Summoning cards. Fabled Raven can discard Goldd to Special Goldd. This person thinks that you can negate Raven because his eff Specials Goldd, when the eff only discards it.

Raven can't be negated by solemn warning since it doesn't special summon a monster. Goldd is special summoned by his own effect when he gets discarded. Raven only discards; not special summons, its 2 totally different effects.

he could warning gold or wait for your to sync and negate it which is what he should have done

OHhhhhhhhhhh now i get your question lol. Goldd and Raven are completely different effects, Warning can negare Goldd effect but he can't negate Raven effect because it doesn't special summon, it just discards. sorry for misunderstanding
